I'd like to run for office

Who can and cannot be a candidate?

You can be a candidate if you are:

  • A Canadian citizen,
  • 18 years or older on October 27, 2008, AND
  • A Nunavut resident since October 27, 2007.
You cannot be a candidate if you were a candidate or a financial agent in the last election and you did not file the campaign financial return on time.
