Personal information is used to administer elections, by-elections and plebiscites.

Elections Nunavut uses personal information to help us maintain the territorial list of voters, to make sure no one votes twice, to mail out Voter Information Cards before an election, and to to recruit, appoint and manage staff.

Voter information including each voter’s name, mailing address, and civic address (house and street name) is used by candidates and their campaign team, by elected officials to help communicate with voters, by individuals requesting public inspection of the list, and by researchers (in an anonymized format) to help Elections Nunavut better understand voting behavior.
